This uncomplicated controller comes complete with a separate dedicated transformer which plugs directly into the wall with a 1.8m lead to plug into the back of the controller.

NOTE: This unit is sold without a connecting lead to the track. In general you would use the connecting lead from your old controller as this unit has screw connector fittings, so any bare wire can be attached - simply cut it off your old faulty controller and attach. Alternatively any electrical cable can be used, there is no complex specification of the wire you need for model railways, traditional "bell" wire up to simple 3 amp cable would be suitable.
