A journey on a Pullman service would be regarded by many as the pinnacle of rail travel in the steam era. The LNER A1 4-6-2 Blink Bonny locomotive and complementary Pullman coaches included in this set represent how the Flying Scotsman™ may have looked in the LNER heyday of the 1930s, that being the Flying Scotsman service and not the somewhat famous locomotive named after it. This service would run non-stop between Edinburgh and London, departing at 10:00 in each direction.
This set contains a starter oval of track and a siding providing a good size layout for you to get started. This included circuit can be expanded with our easy-to-add track extension packs.
This set features working lights in the coaches.
Please be very aware that this is Hornby's new TT scale which is 1:120 scale rather than their normal 1:76 scale. This loco and track are considerably SMALLER than traditional Hornby. If you are looking for a "normal" Hornby set, this is not the right one.
