Very cool! A bit on the noisy side, but very cool. Drive is via a worm/pinion gearbox so weight support is very good. Clever use of spring loaded cast metal gear racks in the legs mean you cannot over extend/retract the legs. Separate battery box (4 x AA) in between the chassis rails provides power. Raising and lowering is complex but clever and works most of the time. If you've driven the truck/trailer combination over rough ground then the operating arm may ride up over the switch plunger and then it won't work properly, but it is easily put right. I have also seen these used as rear suspension supports on heavy duty wrecker/recovery type trucks. Not especially scale because I think most full-size trailers use manually operated support legs, but I like them. If you're using the trailer light set as well, you will still need to manually plug and unplug the lights, so you won't get 100% hands-free trailer coupling and un-coupling.
