We include with each car a Traxxas-Style to Deans-Style plug adaptor.  This means you can use your existing 7.2v NIMH and 7.4v Lipo batteries without buying extra.  For lipo, it is recommended no higher rating than 30C to avoid the motor brushes failing very quickly.
